An Interview with Melanie Cantor - BLF 2024

For World Storytelling Day on 20th March I was asked to read one of my short stories for The Blandford Literary Festival social media page.

The Black Hole, that place you go to when queueing at the supermarket, allowing your mind to meander along life's ups and downs. Here the character is contemplating the fact that her recently divorced dad has decided to move in. Her life represented by shopping, and being scanned  for usefulness, it moves along the conveyor belt of doom!

After enrolling on the Introduction to Film making and Editing course at Arts University Bournemouth, this short film is the culmination of 10 weekly evening sessions that included looking at short film production, storyboarding, how to write a shot list, a running list and an edit list and how to edit using Premier Pro. I learnt so much and although I won't be picking up any awards anytime soon, and I could have done with at least another three weeks here is the final cut
